Kioko
Kioko is building the next generation of CAD — code-first, scriptable, and designed for the engineers who want their tools to keep up with the way they actually work. Our unwavering vision is to build a design tool around three essential pillars:
- Robustness: Legacy platforms crash constantly. They cannot provide the reliability and stability that modern CAD work demands.
- Speed: Legacy platforms rely on heavy 3D models that are slow to modify and slow to render.
- Collaboration: Legacy platforms were never designed for teamwork, leaving teams with fragmented, inefficient workflows.
Our Pedigree
Kioko was founded in 2021 with aerospace and F1 pedigree. The founding team came together out of the conviction that design tools had stopped evolving — that the last twenty years of progress in software engineering, version control, collaboration, and AI had simply skipped the CAD industry.
It is time to bring the latest advances in software engineering and CAD research together to build a design tool that is robust, fast, and collaborative. The result is a browser-based CAD platform purpose-built for high-performance domains such as motorsport, aerospace, and defence.
Our Values
- Engineers first. We build for the people who actually make things. Tools, processes and commercials should serve the ultimate mission of the engineer. The engineer has too often been taken for granted.
- Open standards. Too often, CAD tools lock their users behind proprietary formats. We thrive on open standards.
- Open to the community. Where it does not compromise our customers, we publish, document, and share. We embrace the research community. Closed ecosystems lose; open ones compound.
- Relentless efficiency. Code, team, geometry — everything is geared toward speed and efficiency.
- Part of the wider world. We are building Kioko as an active member of the wider world — promoting STEM and helping out wherever we can.
